Prescription Drug Rider

All Carolina Direct comprehensive major medical plans (Adult, HDHP, and Kids) contain prescription drug coverage.

When enrolling in an Adult medical plan, you can upgrade your prescription drug coverage by choosing this rider.

• With this Carolina Direct Optional Prescription Drug Rider, your out-of-pocket costs will be limited to a lower copay for each generic, formulary and non-formulary prescription filled.
• Pay the single copay for retail.
• The annual deductible and co-insurance are waived.

Supplemental Maternity Coverage

Thinking of having a baby? Plan now to get the supplemental maternity coverage you'll need. Along with your Carolina Direct Adult or HDHP plan, you may select an additional maternity services rider for coverage of a routine pregnancy.

Includes routine prenatal, delivery, postnatal care, lab services and inpatient hospitalization. Benefits are payable at a percentage of eligible expenses incurred in a given time period. The period of time is measured from the effective date of the maternity rider.
